      As I’ve grown in my career and personal life, I’ve seen how useful it is in the real world and I use it every day in different ways. From reading the time, to working out budgets and salaries, to the maths I do as part of my job in science. It’s this that makes me love maths!

      I found maths intuitive and ‘easy’, at least compared to some of the other lessons I had. I enjoyed the fact that maths questions were like little puzzles to try and solve.

      I had some really good teachers at school and at university who shared their love of maths with me. I also loved the problem solving aspect, the satisfaction of getting to a solution of hours, days or even months of dead ends is really addictive!
