Most medical statisticians study maths as their undergraduate degree- which is offered by most universities. Then you usually need a masters degree in statistics (widely offered) or medical statistics (only offered by a small number of universities like Leicester, LSHTM, Lancaster…)

To be a vet you need a veterinary degree. When I was studying there were only six universities doing vet degrees (I went to Royal Vet College, there was also Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool and Bristol) Now in addition to these, you can do a vet degree at Surrey, Nottingham, Harper Adams/Keele, University of Central Lancashire and Scottish Rural University College, so there’s more places to study vet medicine than ever before.
