  I don’t think the order makes sense. But what matters is everyone agrees on the same order. This means that when two people write down an equation they mean the same thing.
  
  I never use BIDMAS. I use lots of brackets so that you don’t have to remember which order to do operations in. This can look more complicated, but I think it is less likely to be confusing.
