I live with my husband and dog (Sully) in Leicester. I am a maths PhD student in the day and like to spend my evenings relaxing, either reading a book, watching TV or some form of exercise (swimming, cycling, trampolining).

My Work:
I am a PhD student in mathematics. My research area is in number theory, this is an important area for keeping your data safe!

My Typical Day:
I wake up and have breakfast (something sweet and a coffee). I get to work between 8am and 9am, where I do lots of reading and writing maths. Then I have lunch with friends, and in the afternoon it’s back to the computer/books to continue research. I go home at 5/6pm, walk the dog and read a book.

What I'd do with the prize money:
Produce resources to help parents/guardians support their children in mathematics.
