Maths can help in the real world because we use it to apply to so many things. For example, we use maths to try and improve medicine, we use maths to try and cure diseases like cancer, to model the population growth of animals to help with endangered species or the environment, we model floods and flash floods to help minimise the damage caused to towns and cities and reduce the loss of life. The list is endless!
