Not really. When solving maths problems, you want the simplest solution as that is easiest to check. If it solves the problem, it doesn’t matter!
A lot of mathematics is based on mathematicians suggesting theorems (statements they believe are true) and trying to prove them. There can be many ways to prove the same thing.
Do you know about prime numbers? Well, we can prove there is an infinite number of prime numbers in complicated ways, or simple ways. Either way, it is true!
